| Obiettivi formativi | Il Corso introduce lo studente del Corso di Laurea in Igiene Dentale ai fondamenti biologici, clinici e tecnologici dell’Odontoiatria Conservatrice e dell’endodonzia, con particolare attenzione all’approccio preventivo e minimamente invasivo, alla preservazione dei tessuti dentali e al ruolo dell’igienista dentale nella gestione del paziente con patologie cariose, restaurative ed endodontiche. |
| Prerequisiti | Negli anni precedenti lo studente deve aver acquisito una buona metodologia di studio e un'adeguata capacità di autovalutazione. |
| Metodi didattici | Il corso viene svolto mediante lezioni frontali con l'ausilio di 'slides' in italiano, e spesso in inglese) e mediante attività didattica professionalizzante attraverso tutoraggio. |

| Course objectives | The Course introduces students of the Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene to the biological, clinical, and technological foundations of Conservative Dentistry, with particular emphasis on the preventive and minimally invasive approach, the preservation of dental tissues, and the role of the dental hygienist in the management of patients with carious and restorative conditions. The Course enables students to acquire the knowledge necessary to understand the biological mechanisms of dentin and dental pulp, the principles of adhesion, the characteristics of direct and indirect restorative materials, and the main restorative techniques, in order to recognize the most common clinical conditions, effectively collaborate with the dentist, and contribute to the prevention, maintenance, and follow-up of dental restorations. |
| Prerequisites | In the previous years the student must have acquired a good study methodology and an adequate self-assessment capacity. |
| Teaching methods | The Course is organized with frontal classes supported by slides in Italian and often in English language and combined with practical training under tutoring. |
