    Obiettivi formativi

    Il corso mira ad un approfondimento dello studio del linguaggio specialistico in inglese relativo all’area medico-infermieristica e sanitaria, focalizzandosi sulle strategie linguistiche e pragmatiche di testi a carattere scientifico.

    Metodologie didattiche

    Lezioni frontali basate sul libro di testo (coadiuvate da presentazioni Powerpoint) e audio integrate da momenti di lavoro a gruppi, sollecitando gli studenti a produrre a loro volta materiali specialistici orali e scritti in inglese da condividere con il resto del gruppo classe sulle diverse tematiche affrontate nelle lezioni.

    Metodi di valutazione

    Esame orale su contenuti dal libro 'English for medicine'; Tesina di 2500 parole su argomento specifico dell'ambito sanitario trattato durante il corso o approfondito autonomamente

    Teaching methods

    Monolingual frontal lessons in powerpoint or audio formats supplemented with group debate, with a view to eliciting students to produce specialist oral and written materials in English (ex: writing a research article abstract or presenting a conference poster) for sharing with other class members on any one topic dealt with.

    Evaluation methods

    Oral exam about the contents from 'English for medicine'; essay (2500 words) about a healthcare topic analysed during the course or studied autonomously
