    Obiettivi formativi

    Course objectives

English-run oral examination is designed to assess student knowledge of English general and specialist language. In general language skills, students must demonstrate functionally communicative competences and standards of English used in real life contexts, corresponding to intermediate level of language (B1/B2) established by Common European Framework of Reference for Languages - comprehending and producing spoken language for proper and effective interpersonal communication. In specialist language skills (English for Specific Purposes), students rely on a guided approach to career-specific English taken throughout the course to demonstrate functionally communicative competencies and standards of the language used in Nursing as well as other Medical and Health practices, and identified through the lexical, syntactic, semantic and rhetorical-pragmatic dimensions of language variability. Students must also possess familiarity with a variety of genres used by nurses and other health professionals (such as accident report, email requesting information, laboratory report, and case report). Final language knowledge is expressed through qualification mark.
